Autumn Half-Marathons

Tewkesbury runners have been flocking to the big autumn 1/2 marathons this month: In the majestic Royal Parks Half 13.1 mile race in London, Gary Duxbury donned his running shoes in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Gary gave it his best shot and finished a minute outside of his personal best for the distance in 1:39:20 (hr:min:sec).

Just 2 seconds quicker on the Mediterranean island of Majorca, Mark Parker ran 1:39:18 in the Palma Half Marathon. Mark improved on his Cheltenham effort and from how the race data looks, he ran a strong race and fought well in the 27 degree sunshine.

Stuart Dudfield ran with Cathy with the plan to save his best for Gloucestershire in the Stroud event next weekend. Cathy cut a fine 52 minutes over the first 10k and then had to dig deep however, still crossed the line comfortably under the 2hr mark in 1:57
