Oxford Half-Marathon

A very early wet 6:30 start to get to the park and ride before heading into Oxford and my start pen. The first 4 miles I kept my pace although the streets were very narrow and you had to contend with a lot of congestion from other runners. The weather was certainly damp with rain from start to finish and some huge puddles. I continued my 10 to 10:30 minute pace ensuring I kept site of the 2:20 pacer but the final 3 miles were tough and I dropped back. I was not disappointed with my time though and the Oxford Half delivered with a PB of 2:22:41 and a finishing position of 5289/6762 with it being my 4th half in 4 months. An eventful if not slightly soggy race .
