Gloucester Winter Marathon

In this year’s new marathon event – the Gloucester winter marathon (not to be confused with the Gloucester City marathon on August 6th), three of the club’s most established longer distance runners took part. All training for their main goals later in the year, Nigel Tillott, Angie Sadler and Phillip Howells covered the lapped rural lane course in respectable times; Nigel placed 22nd with 3:26 hr (an excellent performance for him), Angie placed 53rd and 7th female from a competitive field in 3:42, Phillip, unstoppable as always, took 184th place with 5:44.
