Fabulous Fladbury

Breaking news!

Its only January and Tewkesbury Running Club have hit the winning headlines with our November 2025 Member of the Month, Imogen Knox, winning at the Fladbury Festive 5. The Worcestershire event sent runners over a mixed-terrain flat course. Without calling on her impressive hill running prowess, she led the women around at a strong pace and ended with two-minute cushion ahead of the runner-up. Her performance was so strong, she finished 11th overall and hot on the heals of the TRC leading man, Alec Vincent. Imogen has improved monthly since she joined the club – and there is certainly potential for more!

Although Imy made the headlines, Alec won the MV50, Jon Mansfield won a Game Pie, Julia Jackson was 7th female in a competitive field that included a strong running Hannah Moon. Hannah had hot competition from Sue Baldwin – Sue produced a sprint to the finish that has not been seen for several years – she claimed 1st in the FV50 category! Elaine Vincent took the race at a comfortable pace and was only a couple of minutes behind Sue (not forgetting Elaine produced one of the best runs at the previous week’s XC Relays).

Stephane Plisson is a lover of flat courses and certainly showed it with a lovely run. Lucinda Bottomley followed with a strong finish before the current MotM, Phillip Howells, crossed the line in a decent 65 minutes. All runners received the traditional fresh vine tomatoes from the generous venue.
