Tewkesbury Running Club's V70 5 mile record has been broken for the second time in less than 12 months.
The record set in January this year has been smashed again in Sunday's GF5 race over the new certified out & back course.
Alan Whitby, who this year, has been troubled by niggles flew along the course to finish in 32 mins 48 secs - breaking his previous 34:09 mins record. He easily won the competitive V70 age group and finished 61st overall in the race that was won by Jacob Pickering in 25:04 mins.
